GiftTRAP is the "Santa" of board games. You know you are onto a good thing with a game that's won "Party Game of the Year" in USA, Germany, France & Canada.
GiftTRAP is about the exchange of gifts, ideas, thoughts, likes and dislikes.
Giving the perfect gift is hard, but when you get it right it’s an emotional experience that builds bonds that form life-long memories.
It opens the door to people's dreams and wishes. It's the hilarious social conversation starter that will get you connecting more deeply with friends and family.
It’s rare to find a party game that adults and children both LOVE playing. GiftTRAP has proven global appeal. Play and every day can feel like The Holidays!
Every round features an amazingly diverse selection of unique gifts. Players review the gift selection to anticipate which gift might be best for each player. Then, everyone secretly gives each player a gift. Players then rate the gifts based on their opinion. Each player then opens and scores their gifts.
Checkout the sample gift images for a sense of the variety. This game really does have something for everyone. Other global recognition includes;
This is a game I'd highly recommend to play with people you know well. Definitely not something to pull out with your hard core gaming buddies, but especially great with family. It's also quite funny when someone who you think doesn't know the others in your group as well wins the game! Sometimes it shows how much we overanalyze things with the people we care about the most.
Also, be careful because the version sold in the USA is bilingual English/Spanish. If you want the bilingual German/English version, you can get it in Germany, but it will be more expensive.
I love this game. You find out what you like, and what others like. For example, would you rather have "Live forever" or "time travel machine"?
There are all kinds of other ways you can play this.
For example, simply take 2 cards, and ask each one what they would rather have?
I really like the deck of made up things. I think there was one like "invisiblity cloak"
would you rather have "live forever" or "time travel machine" or "invisibility cloak"
you see what I mean?
This is why I wrote a review for it on kidslike.info (www.kidslike.info, a site of educational games)
This is a fantastic party game. I love playing this... especially with newcomers. It is a great ice breaker also. The only downsides are that it gets redundant after awhile and is very confusing with 6, 7, or 8 people. Nevertheless, it is a fun game and we play at least once a month! 4 1/2 out of 5!
