Don't be deceived by a title or box that suggests that this is the sister game of Candy
Land. While playable by young adults of 9 or older, this is definitely not just a kids'
game! In fact, I'd probably put it in my all time top 10 (if forced to put that
list together). Hase und Igel won the German Game of the Year in 1979 and it is easy to
see why this game has been so popular for nearly 20 years. It employs a unique system of
movement for the 2-6 players involved in the race. You must save your carrots and use
them wisely, while chewing up 3 lettuces on the way. To win, you need careful resource
planning, anticipation of opponents' strategies, and, if desperate, a ration of luck.
No respectable games collection should be without this one.
