Kuhhandel means "Horse trading", although the game is also about cows, cats and sheep. Players take turns putting animals up for auction and collecting the money from the other players. If it is a player's turn and he owns the same animal as a given other player (e.g., both own a sheep), he may offer it to the other player in a horse trade. Both take money cards and make a hidden offer. The player who offers more gets the animal and the other player collects the money. The winner of the game is the player with most points (groups of cows, cats and sheep), not most money. Terrific mechanism.
It is a great game to play and you will have a lot of fun. We have played it many evenings for hours. It might seem a little bit slow at the beginning but it becomes much faster and more engaging at the later stages of the game.
