Novelty Game

Well, if you've been exposed to the likes of Carcasonne, then playing Hungry Hungry Hippos is kind of like eating a McDonalds hamburger right after you've had Florentine steak.

It's basically luck with almost zero skill, but for a few minutes it IS kind of amusing and frantic.

As for children they love it...for 5 minutes. My 6 year old can concentrate on Carcasonne or Settlers for an hour but gets bored of this after a few games.

On the other hand, every now and then you get in the mood for McDonalds.
