Want to be omnipotent? Lords of Creation enables you to bring people, war, peace, and, ultimately, spirituality to a barren planet of hexagons. In the beginning, the hexagons are filled with environment tiles: four types are habitable and three inhospitable. Cards in hand help you populate the habitable terrain--with barbarians. These uncouth specimens can fight people in neighboring hexagons but may never move to different environments. Civilizing barbarians increases their scoring value at the end, but they can then only defend, not attack. (Sometimes, you might be able to civilize enemies to avoid an attack.) Civilized people can build altars to further enhance the value of spaces. Battles and dilemmas rage all over the planet, with territories constantly being relinquished to strengthen others. When the game is over, add the values of spaces you control to determine your contribution to the evolution of a civilized society... and rest.
