Players match dice with cards to get rid of their cards. It is fast and furious as all are playing at once. Speed is important, but if you match incorrectly, you gain extra cards. A great party game for kids of all ages!
This is a fast paced game in which players try and get rid of pumpkin cards. Cards are gotten rid of by matching the pumpkin picture on the card with one of the eight 'pumpkin' dice which are rolled at the start of the round. Pumkins can have various facial expressions, their stems can point to the left or right, and their coloring can be yellow or orange. Find a match and pass the die and card to your opponent on your right. The duration of a round is controlled by an egg timer which is included in the game.
This is an okay game that becomes good when played with children. My boys really enjoy the theme, and the fast pace. Also, the rules can be grasped by young children.
If you're looking for a fast paced 'free for all' I'd recommend Falling. If you're looking for a hokey alternative to Falling, this may fit the bill.
This is a game where it is great to have good eyesight and be fast. Since I have neither of these attributes, this game will soon be gathering dust in the back of my closet.
The game consists of 8 dice and a deck of cards. The dice have pictures of jack 'o lanterns each with different attributes. The stem of each either goes left or right; the mouth is either happy, neutral, or frowning; and the eyes are either orange or yellow. This creates 12 combinations. There is also a deck of 24 cards with pictures of the jack 'o lanterns. There are 2 cards for each combination of attributes.
The deck is dealt to the players until the cards are gone - 6 cards each for a four player game. The cards are placed face up in front of the players. Next, the dice are rolled. Then comes the free for all. Each player is supposed to find dice that match their cards. As soon as you find one, grab the die and place it with the card. Then you hand it to the neighbor on your right or left. It is their job to verify that the die does match the card. If it does, they have to keep the card and re-roll the die. If it doesn't match, they return the card along with a penalty card from their hand. There is a timer to end the frenzy.
Scoring is based on how many cards you were able to unload to the other players. The more cards you get rid of, the better your score.
This might be a good game for children - the box says ages 8 and up, but my 7 year old daughter caught on quickly. As far as old people who wear glasses and play games to relax, this might not be the best choice. If you want to try it despite the warning, be sure to keep your heart medicine handy!
