Way better than regular Checkers
February 10, 2003

I have been playing Checkers seriously for 4 years now with 3 tournaments under my belt, including 2 National Checkers tournaments. Ever since I started playing Cube Checkers, I've been hooked! This game is so much better than regular checkers because it forces you to analyze at more than 1 level. There's about 3 levels that I've come up with so far. The possibilities are unlimited! It's very very hard to play the same game twice. Pretty much the only way it can happen is if both you and you're opponent try to! I liked this game so much that I'm currently writing a book on the indepths of the game and how to get good at it. What's so nice about this game is that all you need to learn is the concepts of the strategies used in this game. You don't need to study positions or particular situations to be good like in Checkers.

excellent... a new twist on checkers
August 09, 1999

I am a die hard checkers fan and this game is really something new. I had picked up this package in the store a dozen times and never thought much of it (the package doesn't tell you much about how to play unfortunately - probably out of fear you will go buy some game dice and play without buying the set!). But after playing their online version I finally bought it. It gives a new twist that throws even good checker players... and tends to equal the odds when playing against someone of a very different skill level. As for buying the dice... well at my local games shops the dice that are anywhere simiar to the kind used here are $1 a piece so with 24 total pieces you may as well buy the game!

The board could be of better quality (cardboard) but this is a great new game.

Good strategy game
June 30, 2000

This is an excellent variant of checkers. The familiarity makes it easy to attract somebody into playing, the basic rules are already known, and the variant rules are simple to learn. But the new rules add a lot of depth to the game. In spite of their simplicity, they lead to interesting situations and trade-offs. Players will quickly become absorbed in the game.
