This is a very fun game to play. My kids play this game with their friends, or any adult around the house. The rules are very easy. The game has some very good twist of fate, one minute everything is going your way and then something bad happens. Several cards let a player take a prized card from you. Many times you can fight them off, but if you can't they take the card away and may kill you chance at scoring with that card group. I have played this game with many adults and each time it has been alot of fun.
I bought this game as a shareware program as well, and absolutely loved the game. Then I got my wife into it, and we purchased the deck of cards. This has been easily the best game we have ever played. To think that we could have had as many game nights with our friends without Green Thumb is crazy. We now play it constantly, over and over again. Sure it looks hokey and girly, but it is a great game. Stealing and planting your own pansies and lilies has never been so manly or fun.
Planting flowers and helping your garden grow. Nice illustrations of flowers and veggies on the cards and a theme of gardening hide a very vicious game. In fact this is the most vicious card game I know of with the exception of Wortelboer. I first found this game as a shareware card game for the computer and enjoyed it so much I tried to make a card version of it. That did not work very well and I was surprised and delighted to find that a non-computer version exists. Because of its theme you can probably get spouses to play. In the game you are trying to get sets of cards to plant in your garden. The plants come in sets of 2 to 4 cards with the larger sets being more valuable. You normally have to put down one card at a time and those cards are susceptible to being stolen until you get a full set down. There are disasters and pests of all kinds to make your garden very difficult to tend. I am very glad I found this game. Very highly recommended.
