In one of the stories from 1001 Nights, we find Ali Baba as an honest man more poor than rich, but upright. In a coincidence from Allah the Almighty, Ali Baba sees a robber band standing before a mountain getting ready to enter it!?
"Open, Sesame," bellows the robber captain louder than Allah, and the mountain opens with a spray of rubble. As the robbers come back out of the cave and continue on their predatory way, Ali tries his luck at entering the mountain. The mountain opens with Allahs help, Ali takes a few treasures and brings them home. His greedy brother Kelim finds out about it, and gains entry to the cave. But being blinded by the many treasures, he forgets the name of the mountain, which he needs to get free again.
Of what use is one of the largest treasures in the world, when you are imprisoned with it in a tiny cave? The robbers return and after a short brawl take back all the treasures Kelim had gathered; poor Kelim will never again see Allahs sunlight outside the cave.
In the game The Treasures of Ali Baba, two to five Alis or Kelims can enter the cave. One player takes on the role of the robber, who wants to prevent the thieves (in the form of the Alis) from leaving the entire cave empty. The Alis try to leave the cave with as many treasures as possible. Whoever has the most treasures at the end wins.
