This is a sophisticated negotiation game in which the players are Genovese merchants in the 16th Century. In order to accumulate the greatest wealth possible, players act as messengers, take important buildings into possession and fulfill every other profitable job. But to do so, players need to cooperate with the other players, and they'll need plenty of persuasion in the form of cash or valuable goods. The players face the continuous dilemma of trying to get the best possible price without demanding too much or giving too much of an advantage to the other player. Whoever finds the best middle course between greed and tactics will be the richest player and will win.
