Cast your line into this fun game of matching and memory. Roll the dice and to see which sea creature to fish for. Find the tile that matches the dice and keep what you catch. But be careful what you fish for or else you might come up with an old boot!
Lucky Catch is a combination of memory, matching, luck, skill, and paying attention. A roll of the dice gets the game going and luck reigns at the beginning. As the fishing continues and each turn reveals where another sea creature is hiding, players rely more on their powers of observation and memory. Children have fun as they learn to focus their attentions on a mental task and learn to match pictures.
We play this game with two of our children, ages 3 and 5 and they love it every time. Pictures of different fish are on one die and different colors are on another die. The idea is to roll the dice and match what you roll to one of the unrevealed cards. Although it's a relatively simple game, it's a definite step up from regular memory-type games. And there's a couple twists in the rules that make it more exciting and challenging than a regular memory game. We also recommend The Secret Door, Go Away Monster, and Harvest Time, which are all great for families with young children.
