This is an abstract strategy game unlike any other pipe-related game you've ever played. We promise. The object of the game is to connect sets of pipes of your own color and remove them from the board, while preventing your opponent from doing the same. In more advanced variations the background colors also come into play. It's very clever! It's a pipe game!
I played this game only a few times before deciding that there is a whole lot more to it than you would think at first. I suggest playing this just one on one. All in all, the game goes pretty quickly, but if you're looking for a way to kill a few minutes and you're sick of 'pass the pigs', this is the game for you.
The rules start extremely simple, and get only slightly more complicated, should you desire to up the level of play.
Each player starts with 20 cards with various black and white pipes twisting through each card. On your turn, you play a card from your hand, with the only restriction that if it touches another card, the colors of the pipes must match. Whenever a closed circuit of pipes is completed (as if it were water tight), the player of that color collects all the cards from that cicuit. Once the last card is played, whoever has collected the most cards wins.
Sounds simple enough, but the many possible strategies make this a great game to play. And if you think the pipes are too easy, then there are the fields in the background....
