Product Description

All cards lie face up on the table. Both players take turns buying one of the five topmost cards--aiming to make pairs of the same color which they can sell as lucratively as possible. Can? Must! Skillfully buying and selling in order to increase your initial capital will take you to victory.

That sounds simple enough, doesn't it? But it's not as easy as that. If you want to master Combit, you'll need three things simultaneously: skill, tactics and a good sense of timing. This game is fun and a workout for your brain at the same time. And you can't ever have enough of either.

Easy to Play! Complex Strategy!
June 05, 2004

The rules for this game are very easy (about half a page for the English translation). But there's a lot of strategy. Since the first review covers the mechanics, I won't repeat them here. There's a lot more to this game then meets the eye when you first read the rules. You have to plan ahead when you purchase the cards on the table. You don't want to leave any high value cards on the table for your opponent to purchase if they have a high value card of the same cover. To avoid those situations, you sell your like-colored cards back for cash. But you are going run out eventually. This is a game of give and take, much like 'Lost Cities' with a different flavor. Best of 2 out of 3 rounds wins. When I played my sister, the scores of each round were very close. I taught my sister in 5 minutes. One of the best 2 player games I've bought.
