I think the only reason why Trouble is such a popular game is simply the gimic of the 'popper'. The game itself is basically a race based on chance- not a whole lot of thought involved- although I will say that because it's such a mindless game, it offers more of an opportunity for social interaction. But why not just hang out instead? It's also cheaply built and not made to last very long.
