The players are trying to recreate the old ghost town as it looked in the late 19th Century. Remnants of the town are still visible, but where exactly had the Saloon been located?
As archaeologists, the players try to collect all available information about the 18 building sites and see if they can complete the puzzle. The game system provides clues about the location of each building through the use of cards. These describe the town -- for example, "The church was in sight of the cemetery" (the church is one of the buildings to be located somewhere in Old Town).
Each player will score for every little contribution he can make to reconstruct the town in its former glory.
I found this to be a fun game. The object of the game is discover the layout of an old west ghost town. As players play cards, the location of individual buildings are identified. Players earn points by eliminating possible locations of buildings. There is a learning curve with the game. Plan on reviewing the examples and then playing a round just to get the hang of it. If you like logic games like Sudoku, clue, or code 777, you'll like this game.
There are also solotaire variants that can be played with this game. I played a few and found them to be entertaining.
