In Friesen-Törn, you move sailboats over the playing field using directional movement cards, in an attempt to ram your opponents’ boats as often as possible (as in "bumper cars"). How often you are hit is of minor importance because none of the boats can sink, but the "damage" counters determine when the game ends. If you are hit from behind or from the side, you get a red damage counter. If your sailboat hits another player’s sailboat, you get a green "victory" counter. But if you hit another boat nose to nose either head on or diagonally, you and the other player both get a green counter. As soon as any player gets his fifth red damage counter, the game is over at the end of the round. At that point, the player with the most green victory counters wins.
