Another Mindless Traveller!
January 21, 2007

Partner this with it's stand alone game mate (Roller Bowl) on any long distance trip and you'll probably stop asking "Are we there yet Mommy?" As stated, a mindless simple to learn travel game built around a simple apparatus. Now as I have both this, and Roller Bowl (it's game mate) I do seem to vaguely recall this game from the 60s and 70s, although I think the board (apparatus) was much larger then. But I could be mistaken.

This is much more 'well thought out" than it's partner Roller Bowl. This has a central tray/drawer that not only catches the marbles as they are dropped from the playing surface, but also works a storage tray for travel, and one can abandon the box if one wishes. Although you can only find the rules on the back of the box (the only drawback) you could xerox them, fold them, and store them in the drawer. Now if you choose to leave the box/rules behind just make sure you close all the "holes" on the game surface by bringing all the slide bars back to "flush" this way you have less of a chance to loose any marbles. And you know how frustrating it is when one looses their marlbes?!?

A decent game, which doesn't take a lot of time or thought to play, but at the same is fun and challenging too. Definitely worth the price tag.

PS. Moms, if you're tired of hearing that age old question, buy this game, and when the first kid asks "Are we there yet?" throw this into to the backseat, then wonder at the joy and silence of the children having fun, instead of bugging you every 27 feet with, "Are we there yet mommy?"
