I love this game! Sudoku was just a blank antagonism for years. But I had a feeling that if Sudoku involved more of a visual stimulus than reading numbers, it would work for my math-phobic mind. And it does. It was still difficult at first, but it's a joy to play with colors, in addition to the numbers. The instructions and progressive levels of challenge are very rewarding. The methods of place-marking "possibles" and laying down "gifts" is simple and extremely helpful. I would love a magnetic version of this game board so that I can play it somewhere other than a table-top. I am buying more sets for friends. They'll hate me at first, but they'll enjoy it too.

I am not a Sudoku fan, but I got this puzzle/toy anyway. Why you ask? To fill up my games closet... why else?

With that being said, if you ARE a Sudoku fan then this will be a great tool for you to finish any Sudoku puzzles. Whether from your local newspaper, from a Sudoku puzzle book, or from your math teacher. The design of this game makes it the perfect tool for the fanatic Sudoku solver. If you're not a Sudoku fan, but you know someone who is, this would be the perfect stocking stuffer them. Also would make a perfect "get well gift" for someone stuck in a hospital room.

It's described as a travel game, and I concur, but it is a little large for playing in the backseat with someone else, but it could be done. It has a lid to keep the number tiles secure, as well as drawer underneath to store the puzzle book (provided) and scoring markers.

Like I said my only reason for getting it was to fill up my games closet, and because I have ALL the other Rubik's puzzles too so, why not? I'm happy with it, and I don't even LIKE Sudoku.
