So you want to have a career using power in the court? But in order to impress the king or his advisors, you must do a great deal of convincing and obtain the support of influential persons in the court. Your persuasive power is represented in this game by dice. During each turn you roll in order to get certain cards, which get you more dice and special abilities. If you are the first to roll seven identical dice, you acquire the favor of the king... and have (perhaps) achieved your goal.
