Seasons is the fun new way to play rummy based on a familiar concept -- the months of the year! Each player starts the game with their own season-themed deck. Score points by getting rid of your cards faster than your opponents. Earn bonus points by stealing your opponents' cards or by playing special holiday, birthday and wild cards. Keen strategy is required as you progressively fine-tune your deck throughout the game. The first player to earn 365 points wins! (366 during a leap year!) So gather up your family and friends and let the fun begin!
My friends and I LOVE, love, love to play this game. We try to be sneaky and hold our plays in our hands for as long as possible, but more often than not, you can't help but want to lay down your sets as quickly as possible. Any remaining cards in your hand count against you when someone goes out. (i.e., It is a fun way to screw your friends over and make them eat points, all in the name of good fun!) This game has beautiful artwork. It is an easy game to learn.
IMO, (and I wouldn't exactly say it is hard), but the most complicated part of game is remembering how to count the 'holiday' cards during scoring (are they part of 'your season' or not?). For some reason, I seem to be the only person who has a problem remembering how to count them. However, all you need to do is look at the well-written instructions for a refresher on how to score those particular points. It's easy. I would recommend this game to anyone.
