In Catch the Bingo, players adventure their pirate ships around the North Atlantic seeking merchant ships, while challenged by icebergs, fog, the Royal Navy, and other pirates. Successfully bring your prize merchant ship to the Pirate's Market to be rewarded with one or more Bingo numbers. The first player with three Bingos wins!
Catch the Bingo is an excellent game for kids of all ages. This game isn't anything like the common bingo game of calling numbers and placing tokens on your card, it's so much better - and fun!
Brief Overview
Each player gets their own pirate ship which you move around
the board with the toss of a dice. Different things can happen
during your turn depending on what you land on. If you're lucky
you'll get to draw a number card. You keep these number cards
until you reach the Pirates Market where you can choose to call a
few of them, and discard the number cards you don't want. You
have a limit of bingo tokens to place on your bingo board so you
have to think carefully about which numbers would be best. You
can also see what other players have on their bingo boards so
you can discard the numbers that would help your opponents
more than they'd help you. Occasionally there are great battles
on the seas when you bump into another Pirate Ship where you
could lose some valuable number cards, but you can get revenge
by winning some of your opponents limited bingo tokens some
time later in the game. The player who gets 3 lines first, wins the
game.
Components
This game has been well manufactured. The quality is excellent.
Wet or sticky little fingers won't hurt the cards, so they'll last for
a lifetime. The ships you move around are really cool too!
Overall Impression
Ths game is great fun! And one thing that's really good about it,
is that adults would have just as much chance of winning the
game as a child would. When children play the game more they'd
become more familiar with what numbers would be better to play
on their bingo card and what numbers to discard in order to stall
another player's progress. It's a light-hearted, fun game with a
little bit of thinking/decision making. Great for kids learning
numbers. Great for kids who want to play a REALLY fun bingo
game. Great for families who want a game where everyone is on
equal ground. You can't go wrong buying this game - an excellent
addition to anyones games library!
