Most games that come along intending to be one of the next best stategy games usually fall short of their goals. Terrace is a genuine exception to that rule.

It must be played to fully grasp the almost intimidating levels of subtley and tactics that the game offers its players. The three and four player versions have so far not been as enjoyable as the straighf forward head to head play, but does offer some variety for the odd afternoon.

Don't let the hype about it being incorporated into the Star Trek world taint you, Terrace is a refreshingly sophisticated game that deserves more mainstream recognition. (no, I am not slamming Trek)

If you enjoy Chess, Pente, and other similar games then this is a slam dunk.
