Pentago is a fast and fun strategy game that is both simple and sophisticated at the same time. The object of the game is to create a row of five marbles, in any direction. But the mind twisting part is that you will also twist one of the four game blocks as part of your move. This causes the game board to constantly change, making for a perpetually challenging game experience, both for beginners and masters alike.
Take Pentago: Cruise Edition with you when you travel the world or cruise around the neighborhood. It comes with a snap-on plastic lid that holds all the marbles in place, while moving about or playing on the go. The game squares are also "locked" into the base, with a clever mechanical Easy Turn design.
This is fun game that my wife and I play all the time. One of the things that makes it great is the deceptiveness of each win. While there are only four ways to get five in a row, the rotating board seem to make wins appear out of thin air. We find that once you are on the defensive, it's kind of hard to get back on the offensive and that the first player usually has a slight advantage. Each game play is different and exciting. Another thing that makes this game very enjoyable is that it's a quick game and isn't as taxing as chess or Hive but is more along the lines of Connect Four. The instruction booklet is simple and has good suggestions for strategies.
