Tell lies! Shift the blame! Save yourself from the anger of the Evil Genius! You are returning to the Tower of Dark Sorcery after the umpteenth failed mission. His Excellency will certainly be displeased, which can only result in the most awful pain and suffering for his hapless minions. If only there were some way you could convince him that it's not your fault...
Aye, Dark Overlord! is a hilarious party game of lying through your teeth. Convince your Dark Overlord that it was not your fault his evil plan failed, but that of your inept companions! But watch out; they probably have the exact same idea...
This all new edition from Fantasy Flight Games includes everything from the first release, plus an all new set of rules plus updated and improved components.
This game is a hilariously great game. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. The premise is one person plays the Dark Overlord, everyone else is a minion who has failed to complete a task. The task is to make someone else take the blame. To make up excuses you have cards that have a picture, title and short description. You can use anything off the card in your excuse. Players often find themselves building off each other as the story of how they failed get more and more detailed. You also have a second set of cards that allows you to pass the blame to another character or stop another character's excuse and of course your reason must have something from one of your "excuse" cards (these cards are replaced as they are used). Creative minds can come up with delightfully wicked excuses and the cards provide a lot to work with. Pl The overlord player has evil eye card and he give them out for poor excuses, being boring, or getting effectively caught with your pants down and not being able to pass the blame to someone else. There is no winner only a loser and he is the one who gets the 3rd evil eye. This is a fast paced game that had everyone rolling on the floor. We played about 6 games and it didn't even take 2 hours and we were laughing the whole time.
