Arkham Horror Dice is a set of 5 high-quality, crafted, polyhedral dice designed and created by Q-workshop company on license of Fantasy Flight Games.
They feature sculpted number faces as well as Elder signs on the "5" and "6" sides indicating successes!
Mysterious strangers lurking in the streets, dangerous cultists trying to awaken the Ancient Ones, portals to other dimensions releasing hideous creatures that bring horror and madness into this world. And all there is to stop the nigh end is a handful of brave investigators, that use all they have to oppose the dread of the unknown -- technology known to man and the lost lore of the Elder Ones. And now there is new weapon in the ongoing fight to keep the streets of Arkham safe!
These are just a set a thematic dice to go with arkham horror. They are above average quality and if you are a "fan" of the series I don't see any reason to not get them if you are considering the purchase.
As for the review that states the game mechanics as a fault for these dice; I don't see much reason why this matters, there is no easy or nice way to represent those rules on dice.
Well they are not revolutionary or anything magical, but they are cool custom themed dice that you can get and add to your game at a decent price (for custom theme dice).
I enjoy them and bought a couple of sets to pimp out my AH. If you have a few buck lying around or need to get to the free shipping goal, this might be a good filler if you like AH.
If you're blessed, then a 4, 5 or 6 is a success and if you're cursed only a 6 is a success. Don't waste your money.
