Each player takes his or her starting capital and opens an antique shop in one of six different categories. Items for sale are beautifully illustrated on 120 cards that show fine antiques valued from $50 to $10,000. You always display at least five items for sale, but hide the rest in your cherished private collection. You win by accumulating the most assets in cash and antiques.

Drawing an Event Card on your turn may force the gain or loss of goods, or adjust prices for an entire round. Next, choose to visit either another shop, the Auction House or the Flea Market to buy, sell or trade goods. Owning more items in a category greatly increases their value. However, the constant shifting and interaction of this impressive game make it difficult for competitors to confidently determine your secret stockpile, and usually nobody knows who is winning until the final reckoning.
