This is a very good addition to the basic zombie game; however, to get maximum enjoyment from it I think you need to tweak the rules a bit. It goes well with the basic game and gives you a military base to explore (and kill zombies of course). The extra cards are excellent (including a rocket launcher that removes a tile--and everyone on it--from the board).

However, if you load the tiles leading to the army base with zombies, getting to the army base is difficult and not worth it, so you end up hanging around the town. We leave the those tiles empty. We also allow the uber-zombies to jump over regular zombies to bet them into play and they are very good at thwarting your opponents attempts to get the military base's helicopter pad.

The military base is a little light on goodies and that makes it less desirable to go to, depending on what tiles turn up.

If you liked Zombies!!! or have ever imagined yourself battling it out with a horde of zombies, you will find this expansion well worth it. Like the original, it allows for some modification while, maintaining the integrity of the game.
