Funagain at the South Pole!

Funagain regularly sends games to just about every corner of the world, but a recent order stood out among them -- it was from the south pole! After discussing with them the best way to send their order, we decided to throw in a few extra games to help with their very long winter. Even more exciting to us than this order was the very nice note and photograph we received, which is printed below. You can also click on the photo to the left to see the full-sized version.

Hello,

The station closed last Monday (which means there will be no plane landing in South Pole till end of October). We tried to do some indoor photos but there were nothing to tell that it was taken in South Pole (since there is no window in the conference room aka game room).

Please find attached a photo we took at the South Pole marker - I think the temperature was about -40F that day. Behind us the the Admunsen-Scott station were I will spend the next 9 months with 42 other winterovers. While the station winterover are from US, there is an Australian, a Canadian, a Dutch, an English, a French (me) and someone from New Zealand.

Right now we have about 6 regular winter gamers (more last summer) but I expect this to go up during winter - some winterovers just arrived and have already expressed an interest in games. So far everyone is happy with the games.
