Fast, unpredictable gameplay!
July 07, 2008

I had the opportunity to play Hex Hex over the weekend, and it was the best of all the games we played. I only got to play several times, but I was hooked after the first game.

The basic premise of the game is to avoid 'losing voice' during the play of the cards. Play proceeds in response to the hex cast on some player by the caster. He deflects the hex left or right or across the table, depending on the cards he may have. The hex can become compelled, forcing you to send it in one particular direction, and if you don't have the correct card....

We played with 6 people the first time and that was probably ideal for our group. Later we played with 8 or 9 people and it still played well and was chaotic and fun. The 'add a rule' concept just made it better.

I very much recommend this game to anyone who enjoys fast and furious action within a reasonable time. This game is on my top five list and will probably be my first choice each game day.
