It's hot in the desert. Diboo the elephant trots to the river to have a drink. He lowers his trunk into the water. But what's that? There is another elephant in the water! Diboo turns around in a fright. But there is nothing there but the other animals who have gathered by the river to drink. Once again, there is the elephant that looks exactly like himself. And whatever movement Diboo makes, the other elephant does exactly the same thing. Finally it dawns on him that he is looking at his own mirror image in the water.
The players see a mirror image and look for the corresponding animal card. The player who finds the most animal cards wins.
Twenty-eight animal cards illustrate a crocodile, elephant, lion, or stork, each in slightly different poses, with one or two accompanying objects. Twenty-eight other cards show the animals' mirror images.
Shuffle the animal cards and lay them faceup into two concentric circles. In the center, place the (shuffled) mirror images facedown. Each turn, reveal the top mirror image. The first player to tap the animal card exactly matching that image wins the image. Incorrect guessers are excluded until the next reveal. The first player to get six images wins (according to the rules; we prefer to play until images are depleted). This ingenious visual challenge is out of sight!
