Telepaths is the mind-reading party game that challenges teammates to match responses by thinking the same.
Teams start by rolling a die to determine if a picture or word card is played. Then teammates have 30 seconds to write a list of responses that they commonly associate with the picture or word on the card.
A point is earned for every matched response. Double-point squares allow teams to earn twice their score, and Go-back squares keep teams from moving ahead. Brainstorm squares heat up the action as all teams race to complete their list first.
It's a race towards the finish line! You'll be laughing, cheering, and groaning as teams either fuse or lose in this game of discovery and fun.
This game is a lot of fun to play with friends, especially couples. Players roll a special die to determine if they will describe a picture or a word. If they are on a square with the number 7, then they have to think of 7 things that describe the picture or word on the card. You have to think quickly though because there is a timer and you want to make as many EXACT matches with your partner as possible. We played with a married couple and laughed so hard because the word was 'bed' and he wrote things like, pillow, sheets, mattress and his wife wrote, 'neck pillow', 'flannel sheets', 'sleeper mattress'. None of the answers counted because they have to be exact matches (except plurals are ok). We liked playing our own variation of the game too where instead of taking turns, we all played at the same time. We got the idea because there are 'All Play' squares, which were so much fun, so we just decided to carry it throughout the game. This is a great after dinner game!
Do you love games in which the object is to match your partner's secret answers? Rounds begin with a randomly chosen word or picture. Within 30 seconds, write down words you associate with it. The square on which your team's pawn stands determines the maximum number of words you write. Your team's pawn moves forward one space for each word chosen by both you and your partner. Finishing on some spaces cancels your luck by forcing you back to where your turn started. Other spaces see all teams play at once, or double the spaces you move.
The winning team must reach the Finish by exact count. It's hilarious watching competitors attempt to match a precise number of answers-- especially as you catch up! An entertaining lesson in how well you don't know someone.
