Product Description

Can you act out these four words before time runs out?

They look easy, but you have to act fast, because you only get a few short seconds per word!

Get your team to guess the word on the first card. Now grab that card before it gets swallowed by the Mimer-Timer, a clever yet word-hungry timing device. Then hurry on to act out the next card!

The harder the word, the more points it's worth. So think fast! Act faster! Grab the most points to win!

Great game with lots of laughs for 12 years & up
December 05, 1999

This is my favorite game. I've played it with the young & frisky & 60 year olds & it brings out the playful kid in all of us. This game is about fun & laughter more than competition, though you can also play it quite competitively if you choose. It doesn't get any better for groups of people, whether they know each other well or not.

Like quick charades
July 28, 2005

Guesstures is really like quick charades. It is a top-notch game for large groups. One thing is for sure, as in regular charades, you have to be willing to make a fool of yourself.

For those who have never played, it goes simply like this:

You have 2 different sets of cards one set for round 1 and a separate set for round 2. Everyone gets one turn per round to charade.

When it's your turn you get 4 cards. Each card has an easier (lower point) word on it and a harder (higher point) word. You have to decide which of the 2 words you are going to charade on each card.

Then you set the cards in the timer with the easiest cards on the right and the hardest on the left. Then you start the timer and charade the card on the far right. If your team guesses what you are charading, you grab that card and start charading the second card on the right. If you ever take too long to charade a card it will fall into the timer and you must move on to the next card.

The time limit per card is fairly short, but if you get your easier ones quickly it gives you more time to work on the harder ones. At the end of your 4 cards you get points for all the ones that you got out of the timer before they fell.

I definitely recommend this game as some light-hearted fun with a group. (Guys against girls is highly recommended.) Of course, keep in mind the personality of the group you are playing with. If people are not willing to be silly and make fools of themselves, you might want to opt for a different game (like Time's Up!).
