Memories of hours of playing Masterpiece!
March 17, 2004

My favorite board game! Where is this game now? A remake should be sold; with updated art, new board style, but same concept and rules! Wow, what a great game, I wish my children had the opportunity to play it. I think I truly established an appreciation for art by playing Masterpiece!

Great, fun game. I played it often years ago. The bidding process and how one likes or dislikes a painting provides an interesting twist to winning the game. As an adult visiting museums in major cities, I find that I always enjoy running across a 'Masterpeice' painting in a museum. Great way to teach your kids about art, and they don't even know they're learning. Would love to have a copy.

Brilliant game to play if you like money, bluffing and art.

We love this game and often have requests to take it with us when we go to visit family and friends. I think it's the combination of bidding for paintings with millions of pounds without batting an eyelid and then bluffing your opponents into thinking you've got a 20,000,000 work of art, when it's actually a forgery. Can't think why they've stopped making it.

It was great fun.

I played this for the first time tonight. It was a blast. I really enjoyed it. We played three games and this was by far the best. I learned the name of many famous paintings. It was fun to decide if someone was bluffing or not. It was educational and entertaining. We all enjoyed it. I am looking to buy it if it is still in print.

masterpiece is a masterpiece

You would think that a game of art, painting, and bluffing would turn out to be a dumb, dumb game. Well, this is by far one of the most interesting games I have played in a long time. I have learned about painting more than I should. You should get this game soon.
