Brings back wonderful memories of childhood Christmas'
September 02, 2004

What wonderful memories of my childhood christmas'. Staying up late with my aunts and cousins playing Michigan Rummy. Such an easy game for children to learn. I borrowed this game from a friend. My siblings and I recently starting playing this game again with our own children. It's so much fun, a wonderful family game.

Good family fun

This was a must-find for me. I have lots of fond memories of visiting my grandparents in Florida - just about every night would end with a few games of Michigan Rummy. It was a game that all three generations (grandparents, parents, and us kids) could have fun playing. Simple rules make it easy for kids to pick up - the 'poker chips' make for some fun competition. Time now to pass the fun on to the next generation!

an oldy but a goody

My father-in-law gave this game to our family after cleaning his closet out. It was quickly ressurected by my game-playing family with great success. It is a great card game, where you gain chips or money by playing the cards in your hand in sequence. The winner is the person who has accumulated the most points at the end of a predetermined number of hands.

It does have a nice element of luck, and fortunes change with each hand.

This game has easy, uncomplicated rules, so it appeals to all ages. The game is based on luck to the point where strategy is the least of your worries. This makes it most appealing to younger players.

It is a lighthearted game, which brings an evening of gaming to a pleasent conclusion. The lenghth of the game is determined by the individuals, which makes for either a short or a long game.

Even though our copy is 20 years old, it still remains one of our current favorites.
