Best trivia game I've played...Believe It or Not
December 13, 1999

I am not normally one that is interested in trivia games. When my mother gave me the Ripley's Believe It or Not! trivia game I was more interested than normal due to remembering the TV show of the same name from when I was a child. Once we played the game, I was even more surprised.

There are 4 different types of cards in the game: Multiple Choice, Statement, Bluff, and Movement cards. The cards pose a challenge with a movement rating equal to difficulty. If the 'asked player' answers correctly, he/she gets to move the number of spaces stated on the card. If the 'asked player' answers incorrectly, the 'asking player' gets to move the number of spaces stated.

The game board also poses its own problems, such as the space near the finish which states 'Trade Places with Player Behind You.' Those type of spaces along with the rule which only allows one player per space makes the board a battle also. (If two land together, the newly arriving player must challenge the other to stay on this space or move on. Of course, moving forward is what you want to do.)

This game is excellent, my whole family agrees. The questions are just plain FUN to ask. This game has some of the oddest questions that I have ever seen in trivia, but the overall game is not so complex that you need to be a rocket scientist to win. This game is a blast, even if you are someone who gets a headache from the word 'trivia' (like me).
