One of the best ever
January 17, 2001

This is a must have for anyone who calls themselves a gamer. Amazingly elegant rules hide a rich depth of gamelay. A balancing act equal to Avalon Hill's Civilization, each turn will have you calculating how many people to hire (and fire), how much cocoa to buy, and what contracts to go for. Mixed in with the resource management are bidding and bluffing elements that make the contract rounds tense and exciting. Profit and greed or get just enough to pay your employees and buy cocoa next turn (if there isn't a shortage or the dreaded "no cocoa" card!). A random element keeps you on your toes without adding a luck element to the game.

This one goes into my classic games list.
