Product Description

Columns of ants must join 7 anthills of the same color; each player goes his own way, but he inevitably meets up with other player's ants. He will then try to avoid the opposing ant columns. Concentration, strategy and astuteness are the main ingredients of this game.

Nice, but obsolete game

Sisimizi is a tile placement game under the theme of ants trying to connect paths to anthills. Each turn a player can place two ants or an ant and an anthill on the board. The winner is the first person to successfully connect seven different regions (with four players) with their chain of ants. Players' paths can block the others', forcing opponents to build around or use one of only two valuable moves to cross an opposing antline.

The game is simple, fairly quick, but not very deep. The most unfortunate thing about Sisimizi is that is has been obsoleted by Durch Die Wuste which has a similar concept with camels and adds a more layers of strategy to make for a deeper game.

Overall I feel that the game is average with a weak theme. The components are pretty standard as well. You are better off playing Durch Die Wuste for the same effect, time length, but greater challenge. This fact may make Sisimizi a great one to introduce to younger kids (6-9 yr. olds).
