Completely Unrealistic, Unbalanced, but what a great game!
February 24, 2003

With it's big board, large chits and constant dice rolls, this game was a favorite and has yet to be trully replaced in wargaming. (Axis and Allies Pacific War is the closest) This game was long and much more complex than Avalon Hill let on. They made it sound like a larger version of War at Sea. That's like saying bridge is just a variation of whist. People looking for a historical simulation where definitely in the wrong room when this was being played. Still, I loved it. I wish it would return with a rulebook untouched by any former employee of Avalon Hill.
