Fun and educational!
October 20, 2006

Takes awhile to get the hang of how to play. but once you do its great fun. my dad and i play it very often and have great fun doing so. it is becoming one of our favorite pastimes. reading the actual quotes from the explorers is a nice extra bonus. this game makes us want to learn more about the explorers and their voyages.

Explorers starts by you picking a voyage and the crew then buying provisions. each turn you role the dice to determine how far you move then you read the instructions for your space. the objective is to make it to your destination and back. you lose if A. you run out of food, water or equipment B. you have a mutiny or C. you return without treasure.

Some difficulties you might have with explorers are: the games take awhile to finish and the rules are rather complicated.

This is a great game which we highly recommend.
