Product Description

Once upon a time the beautiful island Tabaijana in the blue southern sea was destroyed by its erupting volcano. Six children and a retired captain were the last ones to set out for the open sea on a ship they later named after their last home (this story is told in the game Tabaijana Flight (From Fire Island).

"A very bad storm," stated the old captain. His face was earnest just like in the last days on Tabaijana.

A few hours later, the rain began to fall and strong blasts of wind whipped up huge waves. Night closed in on them as the storm built up to its highest. Suddenly, there was a scraping, crushing sound and the ship threatened to break asunder. With the dawn, the wind died down and they saw how the ship was stranded fast on a reef some meters from the cliffs of a bare island.

"Our only chance," said the captain, his voice full of sadness, "is to build small boats from the planks of the ship."

A loud cry broke the silence that had set in. Five figures rose on the cliffs of the island and called for help, five starved and ragged survivors of a ship that had departed after the first eruption of the volcano on Tabaijana.

Together the twelve built twelve small boats, each large enough for one person and a few supplies. They hoped to use the favorable tides to circle the island and in the shelter of the few surrounding islands to avoid entering the open sea too soon. The goal remained Santaijana, a rich island populated by a friendly folk.

The old captain recalled his father's warning. Pirates often made raids in these regions. They had their headquarters somewhat south east of Santaijana.

To reach Santaijana, the Tabaijaners need your help.
