A Classic Revived.
January 20, 2007

I just recently got all the latest Rubik's puzzles from Winning Moves Games. I gotta say it brings back a lot of memories. I remember the first time I got Rubik's 3x3 cube. Actually I got the Rubik's Cube, Snake and the Pyramid in my stocking one Christmas. Frustrated with the cube puzzle I soon found out the easy solution, taking it apart and putting it back together. My brother was able to solve the puzzle by spinning it, but only AFTER he bought a cheat book to do so. Still others who got frustrated just took off the colored stickers and re-arranged them back to their soved state. The Snake and the Pyramid were a lot easier to solve, but still once I solved them, I LEFT them solved. Good to see this classic revived. Also now being offered are a: 4x4 cube, 5x5 cube, a Jr. Cube (2x2), Rubik's World (globe), and Rubik's Sudoku (number puzzle), the Twist (snake) as well as the classic 3x3 mini-keychain, and Jr. 2x2 keychain.

I give it a 4 because it's fun to play with, brings back pleasant memories, and it's a challenge to solve (even if you do try to take it apart). If you've never played with one, and you like puzzles, you'll enjoy this immensely.
