Excellent face to face competition; no statistical replay.
August 28, 2002

The two gamers play manager, catcher, pitcher, and batter. The defensive team selects a pitch (Fast Ball, Breaking Ball, or Off Speed), then the offensive team selects a type of swing as an offensive strategy. Different quality pitchers use different pitches with varying results of risk and reward, and the same applies for the offensive team as well. The batter may ask himself 'Should I go for the fences or avoid the double play with a less riskier swing?' It's part guess and part knowledge of how to move runners along the base paths. A great balance of risk and reward with the strategies cross indexed on a decision matrix. Managers select the lineups. Does he want a power lineup or a small ball offense with speed? How should he select his defensive players vs. their abilities to hit? When should he bring in the reliefer or steal? When should he pitch out? Hit and run? Current players statistics can be easily converted to the games parameters in order to add this flare to the game. It's an exciting game of out-guessing your opponent's strategy, and can lead to great baseball nail biting action!
