Product Description

Play an ancient Stone Age villager struggling to climb the evolutionary ladder. Move from a bearskin clothed Homo Dumbus to a suit-clad Homo Sapien. Discover inventions, fish for fruit, and try not to fall into the primordial sea that surrounds your village. Can you be the first to travel the path from Homo Dumbus to Homo Sapiens? By building a dock to fish in the sea of knowledge, players collect various kinds of fruit. By combining their fruit into specific fruit cocktails, players discover important inventions allowing them to travel the path of knowledge.

Fun on so many levels of evolution.
June 12, 2000

I opened up Burp and the production value for the money was amazing. Even at the full price this game has bits and rocks and an amazingly cute game board. We played the two player version and we were struggling to get food to advance. But during that time we where having a lot of fun. Of course we where playing wrong and discoverd this after the first half hour. The game will take about 30 to 50 minutes and they are active. We are already talking about recruiting the wives to play this fun one. It is a light fun game for non hard core gaming. So not 5 stars like El Grande or Tikal. But with the fun and unique parts of the game a solid 4 stars. I won't give away any details because that was a large part of the fun in opening Burp up and playing. Add this one to your order and you will have a conversation piece game for a long time to come.

Happy Fishing....
