Theme-Driven Game that's Fun With the Right People
March 10, 2003

This is a game that can be fun when you play with people who appreciate and can get into the humor of the theme--of catching, curing, and giving various diseases. Played with the right people, this can be good-natured yuck-fest from which you'll come away feeling like you need to take a shower (or at least wash your hands). But it's not the sort of game to play if you're looking for a challenging or absorbing mental experience; the mechanics are clearly patterned after Monopoly, so that the game depends on the luck of the dice and the draw as you move your pawn around the board following the directions. No real choices or strategy here, but a fun social time for health care workers, obsessive-compulsives, and the like :-)
