Bought this a couple of years ago for my sister's family and just visited them for Christmas. They say they are completely addicted and love it. After playing it I can see why. Good for both kids and adults. The game now seems to be discontinued (can't find it anywhere) and I'd like to get a copy for myself!
I have played this game with over 20 relatives and friends. All but 2 loved it and 6 of them ordered it! It's a fast fun way to compete with short fast words. I find it amazing that the game is so short (5 min/round) and yet so entertaining.
Letter Rip! Turn over six of your 22 facedown letter tiles and make a crossword using any five of them. The first to make a crossword gets to smack the buzzer; otherwise, it goes off on its own, sooner or later As soon as the buzzer goes off, you pass the extra tile to the next player and draw two new ones from your stash. Fiddle with your crossword a bit to incorporate all but one tile, until...Time's up! Pass and pick again. Repeat until you run out of either tiles or nerve endings. Each letter is worth 1,5, or 10 points and scores double if used in two words. Hitting the buzzer with a hammer is tempting, but not allowed.
