Pachom hears that in the far Paschkirenland land can be bought very cheaply. He sets out, and the Paschkirens actually want to give him land -- at a cost of a thousand rubles for a "day" of land. Pachom doesn't know this measure, and is surprised that it is as much land as he can go around in one day from sunrise to sunset.
Pachom sets out from a small mountain at first light. In the freshness of morning he makes good progress and decides to go further to claim yet another fruitful moist valley. At regular intervals he marks his way.
The sun rises higher, it becomes hotter, Pachom must take a break. And then he continues to move, his feet start to hurt, and the only thing that keeps him going is his desire for land -- lots of land. Finally he takes a shortcut and runs straight toward the hill where the Paschkirens wait for him and cheer him on. But the sun slips inexorably towards the horizon...
Walk from your starting mountain according to the movement cards you draw. Have your path surround as many spaces as you can -- these earn you points. Get bonus points for surrounding attractive forests and waterways. Whoever has the most points wins -- but only if they returned to the mountain at sunset to complete the circuit and claim their land!
