James Ernest has cleverly disguised this book of games as another CAG....
Chief Herman's Holiday Fun Pack is a collection of mostly previously published games by CAG. In it is:
1 coin game; 5 dice games; 6 card games; 3 bluffing games; 3 board games (with boards); 1 chess variant (with board); 3 paper games (one of which can be easily played via email); 2 group games; 1 essay by James Ernest on efficient game design; 9 poker variants.
Plus each game has a short note at the end explaining the origin of the game. Oh, and there is a list of all the games published/released by James Ernest/CAG for those who would be interested.
That's a lot of games, eh? You will need the bits for these games (like dice, cards, pawns, etc.) as with all CAG's. Oh, and for one game you'll need lots of small Lego pieces....
As I said before, many of these games are previously published. In fact, some of these games are available on the CAG website (like Lost Pueblo and Bogart), so you have the opportunity to check some of the games out and get a feel for what this collection has to offer.
The games in this book are enjoyable and certainly worth playing again and again. This product is definitely worth the price and will certainly lead to many hours of great gameplay.
