How would you describe Julia Roberts without ever saying her name? How would you charade Jacques Cousteau?
In Celebrity, you try to get your team to guess the names of celebrities in 6 different categories ranging from entertainment to sports without ever saying the celebrity's name!
The same celebrity names are used for all three rounds but the clues become more difficult and hilarious as the rounds are played.
The players create the celebrity names for each game, making Celebrity timeless -- and unique every time you play.
I played this game at a friend's house last week and haven't had so much fun in years. It was easy to open up and start playing right away. We had a big group (about 16 people)and everyone was involved. It kinda reminds me of Taboo but with celebrity names. Great party game!
Wow... I have played this game a number of times with different groups of people, but the reaction is always the same. Lots of laughs...
It challenges your knowledge, so you actually can learn something by the time you are finished. Sort of a cross between Password and Charades. The subjects are always current because the players make up their own clues. And one gets the sense that the stakes are raised in each round. I laughed more and more as we played. It can get quite competitive too! And even though you can play the game with paper and pencil, it is really well designed and convenient to use. The cards are reuseable so you don't waste paper. And it all fits inside the little black bag, very nice.
I just love it.
My friends and I have been playing this game for years-- with simply paper, pencils, a hat (to put the names in), and someone's watch. Now someone's trying to sell it for 20 dollars? That's like selling 'Hangman' or 'Tic-Tac-Toe'. Trust me, you can figure this game out on your own without slapping down bills for a rulebook. This is a sad, sad day.
