speedy SET
April 28, 2001

Yes, it is that simple--if you know the SET game, then you know how to play SPEED. The concept of Speed is almost identical but the gameplay is almost different. Play fast (most turns ends up under 60 secs) and think (if you can) faster. This is a two player filler game and I suggest it for the younger and non-gamers as an ideal preparation for the deepest waters. If you don't have SET, first go for it and then buy SPEED--that deserves a place to your collection.

Finally I want to mention a varation that I use, because the basic game makes things sometimes messy and 'push' someone to steal or to make a foul play that you can not find it after all.... So play the game with four open stacks--two for every player individually. After the game ends you can check the winner's stacks just in case he makes any ...mistake(s)!

It's addictive!
January 28, 2000

My sister got me hooked on this game. I brought it with on a group girl scout campout, and ended up having to buy it for all the adults for Christmas. Everyone I know that has played it loves it. Plus, it is really good for the kids' critical thinking skills. This is a hit with all ages. Even my six year old enjoys playing!
