Product Description

Fresh on the heels of the new Diceland: Ogre and Diceland: Space releases comes this cute little limited-edition envelope with eight more ships. Diceland: Extra Space was actually printed in the extra space on the Ogre Diceland press sheet (17 dice went into the Ogre box, leaving eight more dice for this envelope).

These eight ships are from the Hip Pocket Game Light Speed, and they can be split into two 25-point armies and played against each other, or sprinkled into your existing Diceland army. If you're not sure if Diceland is for you, this is the perfect place to start.

Another simple, quick playing winner from Cheapass!

I was unsure whether I wanted to go in for the whole Diceland: Space package. When I saw this little 'tester' set for $6 I figured it was a cost-effective way to see how the mechanics worked.

Well it's fun! The 8 dice you get in this set form two 25-point forces: one with 3 dice of heavier ships, and one with 5 dice with smaller fighters plus a command-type ship. This set gives a really nice introduction to the rules and will definitely lead to buying the 'full' game.

I was worried that the dice would fall apart after a few games, but the solid cardstock and the way they fit together ensure they will last for quite awhile. The game itself plays quickly. Thanks to the randomness of the dice it is possible to be unlucky and get wiped out quickly but since it plays so fast a rematch is never more than a few minutes away.

These will make great filler/add-in type ships to add to the dice in the main sets as well. Great investment of $6 in my book.
